About the event
The 45th IAD Conference convened over 150 experts and stakeholders working across the Danube River Basin under the theme: “Innovative Solutions and Cooperation to Protect and Restore Biodiversity and Ecosystems.” With a strong focus on science-policy dialogue, the conference highlighted cutting-edge research, EU mission-driven projects, and regional strategies for ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation, and heritage conservation.
Our Contribution
We presented findings from a recent regional study exploring how climate change education (CCE) can enhance the resilience of UNESCO natural and cultural heritage sites in Southeast Europe. Our presentation focused on:
Mapping 100+ stakeholders in climate and education sectors;
Reviewing national and site-level curricula across 10 countries;
Assessing gaps and needs through surveys with 275 regional actors;
